Faeries in the Library Necklace
Faeries in the Library Necklace
This incredible necklace is one of a kind and takes hours to create. I’ve created a multi-layered micro-universe based on the whispering, giggling, rustling faeries one finds in the dustiest corners of old libraries and antique bookstores. This necklace has incredible depth and many layers which are impossible to capture with a camera. Every angle presents a shifting perspective which gives the piece real movement (much like the sculptures of Bernini unfold upon viewing from different angles). The individual elements hover above and around each other.
This pendant is set in a sterling silver bezel and hangs from a soft, moonlight-violet chalcedony (with rhodolite garnet below). It includes many different materials including crystal, pinhole camera photo, a leaf silhouette, and carefully and delicately placed tiny yarrow flowers and petals from my garden.
