Shapes of Nature Necklace

This incredible necklace is one of a kind and takes hours to create. I’ve created a multi-layered micro-universe based on the idea of humanity shaping our environment to echo patterns of nature. Inversely, nature, reclaiming the remnants of our abandoned civilizations, absorbs shapes of humanity into itself.This necklace has incredible depth and many layers which are impossible to capture with a camera. Every angle presents a shifting perspective which gives the piece real movement (much like the sculptures of Bernini unfold upon viewing from different angles). The individual elements hover above and around each other.This pendant is set in a sterling silver bezel and hangs from a tangerine-colored carnelian. It includes many different materials including crystal, vintage map, carefully and delicately wrapped tiny roots and yarrow leaves from my garden.
